JAKARTA – Kabar duka menyelimuti tanah air. Mantan Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia ke-6, Jenderal TNI (Purn.) Try Sutrisno, dilaporkan tutup usia pada hari ini, Senin (2/3/2026). Tokoh militer sekaligus negarawan tersebut menghembuskan napas terakhirnya dalam usia 90 tahun setelah menjalani perawatan intensif di RSPAD Gatot Soebroto, Jakarta.
Kabar mengenai berpulangnya sosok yang mendampingi Presiden Soeharto pada periode 1993–1998 ini dikonfirmasi oleh pihak keluarga dan kerabat dekat di lingkungan TNI.

Berdasarkan keterangan awal, kondisi kesehatan Try Sutrisno memang dikabarkan sempat menurun dalam beberapa pekan terakhir. Sejumlah tokoh nasional dan pejabat negara diketahui sempat menjenguk beliau selama masa perawatan di rumah sakit.
Rencana Pemakaman
Pihak keluarga saat ini tengah mempersiapkan persemayaman jenazah. Rencananya:
- Persemayaman: Jenazah akan disemayamkan di rumah duka sebelum dibawa ke markas besar atau tempat penghormatan resmi.
- Pemakaman: Sebagai penerima bintang jasa tertinggi, beliau rencananya akan dimakamkan di Taman Makam Pahlawan (TMP) Kalibata dengan upacara militer.

Try Sutrisno dikenal sebagai sosok yang bersahaja dan memiliki karier cemerlang di dunia militer. Sebelum menjabat sebagai Wakil Presiden, ia pernah menduduki posisi strategis sebagai Panglima ABRI (1988–1993)
