Jakarta –Desakan penghentian sementara program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) terus berdatangan.  Sementara korban keracunan terhadap siswa terus bertambah hingga sekarang. Sebelumnya Kantor Staf Kepresidenan (KSP merilis jumlah korban sudah mencapai lebih 5000 siswa yang menderita keracunan.  Data tersebut tercatat per tanggal 16 september 2025.

Sementara data terbaru  dari Jaringan Pemantau Pendidikan Indonesia (JPPI) menyebutkandata terakhir pertanggal 21 September 2025, tercatat  jumlah korban sudah mencapai  6.452 siswa penderita.  Angka ini naik 1.092 dari sebelumnya tercatat ada 5.360 kasus pada 12 September 2025. Tercatat, di Jawa Barat ada 2.012, di DIY ada 1.047, di Jawa Tengah ada 722 kasus, di Bengkulu ada 539 kasus dan di Sulawesi Tengah sekitar 556 kasus.

KPAI mengusulkan untuk menghentikan sementara MBG, imbas dari banyaknya anak yang mengalami keracunan.  Pernyataan KPAI tersebut sejalan dengan aspirasi sejumlah kalangan yang mulai resah dengan program MBG.
