Jokowi dan Prabowo kawan atau lawan, friend or enemy? Jika dilihat dari frekuensi pertemuan, terkesan mereka adalah kawan. Tapi apakah ada perkawanan dalam politik, yang sarat dengan kepentingan? Politik adalah bisnis kekuasaan, permainan penuh siasat, intrik, termasuk tipuan, agar bisa bertahan. Tidak ada kawan atau lawan, selain kepentingan untuk menang, tetap di kekuasaan, dan dapat bagian.

Pertemuan Prabowo-Jokowi selama dua jam, Sabtu 4 Oktober lalu, kembali memancing spekulasi soal relasi dua sosok politisi ini. Mereka terlihat friendly, setidaknya di permukaan. Namun setelah pemberian amnesti dan abolisi kepada lawan politik Jokowi, Hasto Kristiyanto dan Thomas Lembong. Juga resafel dan pengungkapan korupsi sejumlah menteri yang dekat dengan Jokowi. Apakah mereka masih bisa dianggap friend?

Dalam politik tidak ada friend atau enemy, yang ada adalah frenemy. Gabungan dari kata “friend”  (kawan) dan “enemy” (lawan). Berperilaku seperti teman tetapi diam-diam bersaing, berlawanan, menjadi musuh dalam selimut, adalah kelaziman. Jika politik adalah urusan mengejar kekuasaan.

Hubungan frenemy bersifat “suka-benci”, menunjukkan kebaikan di depan tetapi menyimpan niat terselubung di belakang. Frenemy pas untuk memahami relasi Prabowo-Jokowi, yang mengusung “politik keberlanjutan”. Mereka tak terpisahkan untuk kepentingan syahwat kekuasaan. Namun relasi seperti itu biasanya tidak akan bisa bertahan, karena tiga alasan: psikologis, strategis, dan struktural.

Psikologis: Mereka dua sosok kontras, dari segi karakter hingga identitas (sipil-militer, akar rumput- aristokrasi, populis-fasis). Relasi politik mereka “ups and downs” seperti roller coaster, karena murni kepentingan. Berkoalisi saat pemilihan Gubernur DKI 2012; kemudian berlawanan saat Pilpres 2014 dan 2019. Pasca-2019 Jokowi mengooptasi Prabowo, menjadi Menteri Pertahanan, untuk melumpuhkan potensinya sebagai oposisi. Pada Pilpres 2024 Jokowi adalah “kingmaker” bagi Prabowo yang “boneka”. Namun situasi segera berbalik.

Strategis: Jaminan kesinambungan politik dan keamanan bagi Jokowi terjaga sejauh Prabowo terus mau menjadi “boneka” pada “kingmaker”-nya. Panglima TNI dan Kapolri era Jokowi, belum diganti, proyek IKN dimodifikasi menjadi “ibu kota politik”. Jokowi terus berupaya menjaga pengaruh melalui jaringan loyalis (dari menteri, wapres, elit teknokratik, komisaris BUMN). Namun, cepat atau lambat geseken pengaruh dan kepentingan akan terjadi. Prabowo perlu membangun loyalis berbasis militer dan kroni politiknya.

Struktural: Jokowi dan Prabowo menjadi dua faksi dalam satu rezim — bukan oposisi dan pemerintah, tapi kepentingan yang akan berhadapan. Masing-masing punya jaringan kepentingan bisnis, militer, dan birokrasi. Dan setiap kebijakan besar musti melewati tawar-menawar, tarik-menarik dua faksi kekuasaan. Mereka bukan kawan sejati atau lawan beneran. Mereka “frenemy”, saling membutuhkan, sekaligus saling menegasi.

Saat frenemy bertemu, Sabtu lalu, rakyat disuguhi tontonan infotainment politik. Bahan menarik untuk bergosip, kasak-kusuk, dan spekulasi. Publik cuma bisa menebak dan menerka apa yang mereka perbincangkan. Mungkin Jokowi mengigatkan kesepakatan berbagi kekuasaan dan politik keberlanjutan. Tidak membiarkan  pemakzulkan anaknya dan pengadilan dirinya bergulir. Kasus korupsi keluarga dan kroninya tidak diusut, termasuk kontroversi ijazah palsu. Itu kasak-kusuk publik, yang cepat atau lambat akan tervalidasi.

Keduanya hidup dalam ketakutan yang sama: kehilangan kendali atas sistem yang mereka bentuk bersama. Di panggung media, mereka bisa berpura-pura tersenyum, sembari merancang penaklukan. Berakrobat di atas tali sirkus kekuasaan, beradu siasat, agar tak jatuh duluan. Relasi frenemy Prabowo – Jokowi adalah semacam Julius Caesar dan Brutus menunggu moment “Ides of March”.

Relasi frenemy Prabowo-Jokowi bernuansa “Stockholm syndrome”. Keduanya tersandera oleh kekuasaan yang mereka bangun bersama. Dua aktor yang tak bisa lepas karena kepentingan dan ketakutan yang sama.
