This tower is only the only residential tower that will be directly
connected to the communal facilities of the integrated resort development.
“Fittingly, public spaces will be among the first areas to be opened, including the viewing platform on Sky Deck, Miller Park, and of course the Neville Bonner Bridge linking Queen’s Wharf to South Bank. Composite A combination of materials (e.g. steel, concrete, timber) are used together in the main structural elements. Mixed-Structure Utilizes distinct systems (e.g. all-steel, all-concrete, all-timber), one on top of the other. Note that a building of timber construction with a floor system of concrete planks or concrete slab on top of timber beams is still considered an “all-timber” structure as the concrete elements are not acting as the primary structure. An all-timber structure may include the use of localized non-timber connections between timber elements. All-Timber Both the main vertical/lateral structural elements and the floor spanning systems are constructed from timber.
In a 2013 policy address, the government of Hong Kong announced its intention to deal with the increasing demand for medical facilities from its population and formulate a clinical services plan to map out the future service development of a variety of hospital clusters. It holds one of the greatest collections of culturally significant heritage buildings and places in Australia. Queen’s Wharf Brisbane seamlessly blends cutting-edge contemporary architecture with Brisbane’s rich heritage, embracing the city’s subtropical climate and vibrant riverfront lifestyle. The SEQ Regional Plan underscores the gap between demand and supply, estimating a need for 7,000 apartments annually between 2021 and 2046 across Brisbane’s Local Government Area. In the future, when the whole development is open, William Street will again have public vehicle access.”
However, the business was able to meet the Principal Contractor’s request to supply both
simultaneously. Michael Jostsons, InfraBuild Reinforcing
Project Manager, says the schedule for supply and delivery
of cut and bent bar for the slabs originally allowed for a 14-day period between each.
InfraBuild has kept the Queen’s Wharf project ahead of program by accelerating its supply of reinforcing steel to site for two of the project’s large raft slabs.
We asked Property Council Hunter and Central Coast director
and former lord mayor Nuatali Nelmes for her thoughts on the site’s future.
The site’s owner, the City of Newcastle, has called for public
comment on the future of Queens Wharf. For Brisbane, this project isn’t just a skyscraper—it’s a statement of intent, placing the city firmly on the
map as a world-class destination. Inside, the development boasts meticulously designed one-, two-,
and three-bedroom apartments, each equipped with balconies and innovative winter gardens.
The centre gives visitors a taste of what this world-class integrated resort
development will offer when the first stage opens in mid-2023.
“The Sky Deck will become one of the city’s great public tourism and entertainment experiences and a must-visit attraction for Queensland,” Mr Crooks said.
Destination Brisbane Consortium Project Director Simon Crooks said it’s a major construction milestone
in what is Brisbane’s greatest city-shaping development in more than 30 years.
The residential tower closest to Parliament house is seen to have a cantilevered
design over a public space below. This iconic development offers premium one,
two, and three-bedroom residences, situated adjacent to
Brisbane’s historic landmarks and crafted with luxurious
materials. Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will transform the CBD with four new
luxury hotels, more than 50 new bars and restaurants,
residential living and the equivalent of 12 football fields of public space when the development is complete.
“The nine heritage buildings, dated back to the 1800s, are being carefully restored and transformed into new shopping outlets, restaurants and bars as well as spaces for events, entertainment and performance.
As part of the plans, the nearby heritage-listed Treasury Casino will be transformed into a high-end department store, while five new premium hotels, three residential towers, about 50 food and beverage outlets and a riverfront moonlight cinema will be constructed. The area currently contains significant heritage buildings, a number of under-utilised government buildings, as well as neglected riverfront land under the Riverside Expressway. At Queen’s Wharf Residences in Brisbane CBD, you’re surrounded by many of the city’s most sought-after areas. Guests seeking relaxation will enjoy our premium amenities at our Queen’s Wharf Apartments in Brisbane CBD.
Over more than a decade, RLB collaborated closely with our visionary client, construction partner Multiplex, architect Cottee Parker and other stakeholders to navigate challenges from inclement weather to supply chain impacts. Historic charm is preserved in nine repurposed heritage buildings, while a new pedestrian bridge connects the two banks of the Brisbane River and honours Indigenous leader Senator Neville Bonner. “DBC has determined that this will no longer be pursued and
therefore is proposed to be removed. Additionally, the application also seeks to remove
a proposed tunnel which was originally planned to connect Queen’s Wharf
Integrated Resort with Precinct 3’s basements.
Brisbane City Markets brings its signature vibrancy to the
city’s newest destination… The Queen’s Wharf Tower has already begun marketing its proposed 819 apartments to potential local and international
buyers, hoping to emulate the sales success of the Queens Wharf Residences, which sold 75
per cent of its 667 apartments in the first two months.
“Across the integrated resort development, there will be four main jump form systems and two smaller systems installed. Multiplex Project Director Dayne May said since the company took site possession in July last year, the work had been contained to the basement and car parking levels, with only nine tower cranes visible from street level. There’s a choice of one, two and three bedroom apartments in a 65-level building between the CBD and the river.
The proposed PoD amendments do not seek to alter the original intent of Precinct 3, maintaining a significant component of residential GFA within the Precinct” – Urbis for Destination Brisbane Consortium.
Illustrations of tower 5 shows the proposed structure surpassing the
top of the 1 William Street’s spire which is 259.8m AHD high.
Tower 5 is now proposed to be mixed-use and could contain commercial or retail space on the lower levels
with residential in the mid and high rise sections of the
building. The proposed amendments to the original application impact
Precinct 3, and predominantly involve changing the land usage, mix and designs of towers 5 and
6.
